My story

An endearing blend of affectionate and active makes Lou light up his foster home. Sweetly social, he LOVES being in the company of his fosters, following them everywhere and participating in everything they do, including watching football on TV with his foster dad. Sensitive about being touched, however, the best way to pet him is to pick him up first.

Agile and athletic despite his age, he also LOVES going for walks around the block, playing outside, running and bounding across the yard, chasing balls, searching for squirrels, and getting wet from the garden hose. His favorite indoor activity is chewing: cardboard boxes filled with treats, stuffed animals, bones and a Kong filled with peanut butter.

Highly treat motivated (pieces of hot dog or string cheese are best), he knows “sit”, “lie down”, “wait”, “come”, “shake”, and “stay”, is learning “drop it” and “leave it”, and honing his leash walking skills. Crate and house trained, but not a fan of the vacuum cleaner or the doorbell, the garage opening or the mail carrier, this little pup tends to BARK! The highlight of Lou’s happy day is having dinner with his family at 8 PM and then sleeping like a king on the sofa.

Now all loving Lou needs is a fur-ever home as affectionate and active as he is.

Lou is neutered, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped. To meet or adopt Lou, fill out an application and a volunteer will contact you shortly
