Additional adoption info

Thank you for considering adoption from Pet Pride of New York! We have many wonderful cats and kittens at our sanctuary and adoption center who are just waiting to meet you. We encourage prospective adopters to begin the process by completing our online adoption application. After our team members have reviewed and approved your application, they will contact you to schedule an appointment. Although scheduled appointments are not required, we recommend them so that a team member can plan to give you their undivided attention. Our team members get to know each one of our cats, and they are expert matchmakers! Tell them what you are looking for in a pet, and let them help you find the perfect addition to your family. When you return to finalize the adoption, be sure to bring a cat carrier. For the safety of all occupants of your motor vehicle, we cannot send a cat home without one. A Pet Pride team member will review the adoption contract with you and collect the adoption fee. Then you will be able to take your new family member home!

More about this shelter

Pet Pride of New York, Incorporated saves the lives of homeless cats in our community by providing sanctuary, medical care, and placement into permanent adoptive homes. We operate a no-kill cat sanctuary and adoption center in Victor, New York which is open to the public. We also have a network of foster homes for our youngest kittens and our expectant and nursing moms. Once a cat is admitted to Pet Pride, he or she stays with us for as long as it takes to find their new, forever home. We never euthanize cats in our care in order to make room for new cats. Our cats receive expert veterinary care, and they enjoy a clean, safe, and stimulating environment while they await adoption. They are free to roam in the sanctuary and take in the fresh air on the catios, and they enjoy playtime and attention from staff, volunteers, and visitors. Pet Pride advances the cause of animal welfare in our community by spaying and neutering all cats in our care and by connecting people with reliable information about responsible cat ownership, cat care and behavior, and other topics relating to the humane treatment of all cats. Pet Pride is a New York State Registered Shelter/Rescue, and we have been a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization since 1977. We rely primarily on charitable contributions from individuals. Please visit our website at https://www.petprideny.org for more information, call us at 585.742.1630, or email us at ppny@wny.twcbc.com.
