Too many dogs come in neglected but each one is heartbreaking nonetheless. Rollo is so skinny his hip bones protrude and his head is sunken in. He looks like he lived in a confined space too small for his growing body. His legs don’t fully extend and he walks a bit hunched over. Rollo had one thing on his mind, treats and we were happy to give him everything we had. He could use a spa day and nail trim. Rollo jumps for attention but he also sits on command. His nails are sharp but he’s a pretty sweet boy.
Rollo allowed handling all over and leaned his whole body against ours when we pet him. We are going to work on getting Rollo to a healthy weight and try to curb some of his jumping. Rollo is still very young and needs a family dedicated to his mental and physical health (training and exercise). He’s not had a great start to life, imagine how happy he will be experiencing the small wonders of life.
