My story

Malva A234115

Female - 2 years old
Came in 10/9/21 as a Stray

Handling 11/25: https://youtu.be/zOGWG3qq6QE
Handling video: https://youtu.be/X34TBqjvCf8
Leash Test: https://youtu.be/O0Xpk5pAVvA

NOVEMBER - Malva loves soft, squeaky toys. She finds a perfect one in the toy-box and makes it hers for her time outside. Malva will trade her toy for treats, but she picks it right back up again. She can be a little grabby with treats, but till now, no one has worked with her on taking them gently.

Malva wants a forever home with a toy-box full of soft toys, and someone to teach her how to take treats. Let's make that happen for her!!

OCTOBER - Zoomies - Malva does them at warp speed. She looks amazing with her cheeks flapping in the wind. Not very aerodynamic but definitely adorable. Malva looked so sweet and maybe a bit shy when we first met her. She let us leash her up quickly and walked nicely in the yard. Malva sat when we asked and took treats gently. Her smile is wide and inviting when we engaged her. It wasn’t till we gave a toy a squeak that Malva’s playful side came out. She zipped over to check it out. She chased a toy when we tossed it but wasn’t overly interested either. Malva can get some air when she excitedly jumps but she rarely made contact with us. She allows handling all over, in between her zoomies of course. She is definitely not a shy girl, but still sweet. Life with Malva will always be fun!

Why adoption is a great option

Malva, a Chicago Pit Bull Terrier/Mixed Breed (Medium) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier/Mixed Breed (Medium) for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier/Mixed Breed (Medium) dog from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier/Mixed Breed (Medium) breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier/Mixed Breed (Medium) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
