My story

 Jake!   DOB: 7/2011   Weight: 90-95lbs

This 10 year old hunk of ham is a total love bug. He’s a coonhound mix who prefers to mosey around. His foster mom has all good things to say about him. He’s house trained and doesn’t need to be crated as he just minds his own business. He’s good with both small and large dogs and older kids. Jake has never met cats or been around little kids in his foster but based on his calm and laidback demeanor we think he’d be fine with them. He walks great on a leash and rides in the car without complaints. He follows his foster mom around the house and when he hears that snack bag he wastes no time. His adoption fee is $100 and that covers all vaccinations, worming, neuter and microchip. Please be honest on your application because we do verify everything. Applications can be found on our website pcpoundpuppies.com. He is available for a two week foster to adopt trial

***YOU MUST FILL OUT AN APPLICATION BEFORE WE DO ANY MEET AND GREETS. QUESTIONS? CONTACT pcpoundpuppies1@gmail.com

Our standard adoption fee is $175 ($250 for puppies 6 months and under, or small dogs 20lbs or below) which covers a portion of the dog's vetting costs. The adoption process includes the completion of an application followed by an interview.

***If there is a dog you are interested in meeting, fill out an application and we will contact you for an interview and set up a meet and greet as soon as possible.***

You can get in touch with us by email at pcpoundpuppies1@gmail.com for more information.

We respond to inquiries and adoption applications at our earliest opportunity, but please be patient with us as we work full-time jobs and perform this service as volunteers. We do our best to return messages and schedule adoption interviews within a couple of days of receiving your application.

The fastest way to get the ball rolling is to complete an adoption application for the dog that caught your eye.  Thank you for considering the adoption of a shelter dog!

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process consists of an adoption application followed by an interview. Upon arriving at the shelter, each dog receives a Bordetella shot, DHPPC vaccination and worming. At the veterinarian's office, our dogs receive a rabies vaccination, a spay or neuter surgery, and are tested for heartworm. If a dog tests positive, we treat the dog and then retest to confirm that the treatment was successful. Additionally, our dogs are microchipped before going home with their new family. Adoption fees are $85 and help to cover the cost of vetting.
