My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Gender: Male (will be neutered by the rescue vet when old enough)
Breed: Egyptian Baladi Dog/possibly JRT

Energy: medium
Dogs: yes
Cats: yes
Children: yes
Personality: funny, mischevious (in an adorable, loving way), inquisitive, playful, affectionate, cuddly, craves human attention and interaction

RESCUE HISTORY:
Mario was spotted by a couple vacationing on the North coast. He lived surrounded by garbage, chained up to a post.
The chains were too heavy for this little guy, and the family he belonged to didin't care about it. He was fed 'every so often', and no one, absolutely no one paid any attention to him.
When the couple saw him, they heard his whining and crying first. Thankfully, they are huge animal lovers, and took interest in him.
The couple found the owners, and talk them into releasing this poor pup to them, so he has a chance at a normal life.
God was watching over him, becasue they agreed, and the rest is histry.

TEMPERAMENT:
Mario is a sweet youngster, full of antics and mischief with a clownish personality. He adores the other dogs in the house, and plays with them often.
When he tires, he seeks out the nice poeple that rescued him and flops over for bellyrubs, or settles next to one of them,
curls up and take a much deserved nap.
Mario is simply a joy to have around. He is showing signs of great intelligence, and is highly trainable. He is friendly with people, other dogs and cats.
We can only guess that he is a mix of a Baladi Dog and a JRT, ur assumption stemmed from observing his personality traits and colourings, all consistant with JRT.

DESIRED FAMILY:
We are looking for an active family living in the suburbs with a fenced off yard, that will have the time and space for him
to run and show off his silly antics.
A family that will take him for outdoors adventures, play fetch, and teach him tricks.
A family with kids that would want to play fetch, kick a ball around or teach Mario cool tricks would be great.

GENERAL INFO ON BALADI DOGS:
In general, Egyptian Baladi dogs are known to be very loyal and devoted family members.
They are very intelligent, highly trainable and love performing tasks.
They make great guardians, and exceptional cuddlers. They are watchful, and protective of their family. Most have fun, clownish personalities and love to entertain their human and four legged family members with clownish antics.

MEDICAL HISTORY:
✅ Mario will be neutered in Ontario when he's old enough. He is vaccinated
(Canine Distemper, Hepatitis, Corona Viral Enteritis, Parainfluenza, Parvovirus, Rabies)
✅ He has been treated for worms and ticks and microchipped
✅ MArio has had basic CBC blood panel drawn to ensure there are no ‘hidden’ viruses and are healthy.
✅ He has also been tested for tick- borne diseases ie. Lyme disease, Ehrlichiosis, Anaplasmosis, Babesiosis as well as for internal parasites, all with negative results.
The adoption fee is $995 and includes the flight and the travel crate they will fly in.
