My story

Oh, hey, I'm Eros!

When I was just a pup, my pawrents, siblings, and I were found in a field across from God's Dogs Rescue. We were FULL of porcupine quills all over our bodies!!! We drastically needed help and God's Dogs Rescue was there to answer our puppy prayers.
While my pawrents were fairly social, it was clear that us pups were not brought up around humans. We are quite shy, though we still crave safety, love, and FOOD! Fortunately for them, but unfortunately for me, I'm the last one of my family still looking for my furever home.
With my shyness comes a generally quiet and calm demeanor, so I won't be too much of a fuss in your home. However, I am still a young guy and I LOVE toys and rolling around in my blankies! When I'm excited and happy to see you, I'll give you a soft WOOOOO! You may also see me doing zoomies in the yard or hear me in another room going crazy with my bones and stuffies or my doggy friends. I am great in a crate and am also house trained if you want to let me free roam. I recently went to a foster home and I am working on learning to be comfortable with new humans and the noises/movement inside of a home. I am also learning tricks like "sit" and "kennel".
Despite my hesitations with people, I am great with other dogs. I was being fostered with a friend that I made at God's Dogs and I followed his every move. He got adopted, though, and I quickly fell back to being afraid. Now I am hanging out with my foster mom's other dogs and am back to my silly self! In my new home, I would definitely need another confident dog to show me the ropes.

I am a sensitive, gentle soul looking for a new family to call my own. Please apply today!

Additional adoption info

Adoption application required. Adoption Fee is $200-350 local (Local is state of Texas) $500-800 for out of state adoptions (includes transport fees).. The higher prices for Purebred and/or highly desirable pets. Adoption application, adoption contract, return/foster agreement if dog doesn't work out in home.

We work hard to place dogs in the right homes, if the adoption does not work out and we have room to take the dog back into the rescue, we will. However, the sheer number of needy animals in Bexar county TX +usually means we become full quickly after the dog is adopted. So, in those cases we will post the animal, help the adopter screen applicants and help facilitate finding another home for the dog.
