My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

ess is a shy, sweet 3 year old, 12lb golden Basenji mix who was found abandoned on a dirt road in the middle of the state. She can be initially skittish until she trusts you and then she wants your love and attention and will show her mischievous side. She can be energetic and lightning quick or very chill in a chair with or without company. If you take too long to prepare her meal, she will let you know!

She is very friendly with people and other dogs. She knows her name and some basic commands. She needs more experience walking on a leash - both learning to be on a harness and knowing she will be going back home. A fenced-in back yard would be ideal for her. She is crate-trained but still working on potty training. She is food motivated and enjoys positive training with her foster.
