Travis von Tannenbaum is a beautiful, 3-4 year-old German Shepherd. When you have a dog as handsome as Travis, you never want them to leave your sight. And luckily, with Travis, that won’t be a problem! Travis is by your side for any adventure — literally. He gets especially happy and bouncy with his favorite people, leaning in for rubs and rolling on his back. He knows how to sit on command and takes doggy cookies gently. And he is a delight to walk, so light on his feet! While Travis likes mingling with other pups, he really lets his fun side shine when playing in water. He's met small dogs well but isn't for cats. Whether you’re ready to go for a dip or a trip around the block or up a trail, Travis wants to join you. For a new friend who will make a splash, Travis is your go-to guy. He is a survivor of a bad accident, but nothing that will slow Travis down! HIs zest for life is just double what most dogs have!
IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN Travis von Tannenbaum YOU MUST FILL OUT AN ADOPTION APPLICATION ON OUR WEBSITE: www.sheprescue.org
Based on our experience, Westside's current thinking is to usually match first-time shepherd owners with a mix versus a purebred shepherd. Mixes are "softer" and somewhat more malleable. Exceptions can be made, however, for first-time adopters who show the confidence and leadership tendencies that purebreds will respect and respond to. Counselors have to use good judgment in assessing the attributes of the adopter, as well as of the dog. If you have doubts, get a second opinion from Robin or another experienced counselor.

In order to adopt any dog from Westside German Shepherd Rescue, one must fill out an adoption application first. Upon receipt of your application, a Westside adoption counselor will contact you.We do aerial home checks and you may be asked to supply pictures as well as arranging for a home visit prior to adoption.
Adoption fees vary with each dog and typically range from $150 to $500. They are set, taking into account the dog's age, training level, temperament, if they’re newly arrived, medical condition(s) (if any) and other factors. Adoption fees are used not only to rescue and place the dog you are personally adopting, but to aid in the future rescue and rehabilitation of other deserving dogs. Adoption fees are necessary; without fees our rescue efforts would quickly come to an end. The adoption fee includes spay/neuter, microchip and up to date vaccinations.
