My story

Stop scrolling!!! You have to meet Flick. He is a 1 year old Corgi mix (we think... but really have no clue). Flick was rescued from a hoarding situation living outside down South and is acclimating great to a home environment. He's getting along great with other dogs in his foster home. He loves playing with them with toys. He also plays tug-of-war and fetch with his Foster mom. He is pretty shy with people but with time and patience he comes out of his shell and shows his cute and quirky personality. This guy only has one good eye but it does not hinder him or require any medical intervention. We are looking for a home with at least one other playful dog for Flick. A home without cats would be preferred as there are two cats in his foster home and he tends to like to chase them around. Flick is really a wonderful dog. He took quite a long time to come around and will still likely have some socialization issues with people but now he sits on the couch and lays with his foster mom and lets her pet him. It took a long time to get to that place but he’s starting to trust more when people are kind to him so he should not take as long to come out of his shell in a forever home environment.

We would love to find a home that he can call his own and someone who will have the patience to let him acclimate while enjoying playing with any fur siblings you have. Flick is house trained. He is crated at night and when no one is home and does great. He knows crate up! We would love a home with a playful dog for Flick!l

We want to be totally transparent with anyone interested in this sweet boy. He will take time to get to know people. He needs a home with a secure fence or to be on a lead when he is outside. We are open to a foster to adopt program for him to make sure that he is a good fit for your family. If you are interested in seeing if this funny and quirky pup is a good fit for you, complete an application on our website at www barsiibeds.org.
