My story

Oliver is a confident boy about 4 years old. He was abandoned in a parking lot adjacent to an auto repair shop in November 2021. If not for a kind-hearted good Samaritan, this sweet cat would still be struggling to survive on the street. Oliver is a big boy who craves attention and affection. He loves to talk and tell you all about his day.

He is in a temporary foster home with 3 dogs. He tolerates the dogs, but is not fond of large rambunctious dogs. He does NOT tolerate other cats well at all. We feel he would would be happiest in a home as an only pet or with a mellow and mature dog. He is not very tolerant of "attentive" young children, but would be a great companion in an adult household or home with mature children 15 and up.

While waiting for his forever family he needs a foster home preferably in South Bay cities near Gardena, Carson, Torrance, San Pedro, Wilmington etc.... so that he can easily be transported to adoption events at Petco located at 852 N Western Ave, San Pedro, CA 90732.

Oliver is available for adoption through Home for Every Living Pet Rescue. If you would like to provide Oliver with a "forever" home, please complete the online adoption questionnaire available here: https://www.homeforeverylivingpet.org/adopt/#process

Adoption includes neuter, initial vaccines FeLV/FIV test, deworming, and treatment with a topical flea control.

Our PET LIST is updated each evening, so all animals are available, unless noted as **ADOPTED**

Microchipping for permanent internal I.D. may incur an additional fee. Each adoption includes spay/neuter surgery, vaccinations and parasite treatment.

Go meet their pets

FOHA does not operate a shelter that is open to the public. Our rescue animals are fostered in private homes and are shown by appointment. NOTE: Our foster homes are COMPLETELY full and we are unable to take owned or stray pets into our rescue at this time.

More about this rescue

Friends of Harbor Animals is a group of independent rescuers working together to find permanent homes for cats, kittens, puppies and dogs who have found themselves in an Animal Shelter or other "unfortunate circumstance". All the pets we have available for adoption are happy, socialized and healthy. Some of Friends of Harbor Animals Adorable Adoptables are cared for in private foster homes. Additionally, our program of promoting animal shelter adoptions is an ongoing project of Friends of Harbor Animals. If an animal is listed as *URGENT*, the animal is currently available for adoption at the Harbor Animal Care Center (City of Los Angeles Animal Shelter) in San Pedro. The Care Center staff is available to answer your questions regarding the shelter's adoption policies and fees at (310) 548-2632 . Be prepared to provide the animal's impound (ID) number.

Please consider adopting your new companion pet from the Harbor Animal Care Center. SAVE A LIFE!
