Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Richard is about 3 years old, full grown and weighs 2.8 pounds. He will be an under-5-lb dog for sure! He was relinquished by his owner who could no longer care for him. This was through no fault of his own. Common to the chihuahua breed, Richard loves to snuggle and be carried. He is a lap dog and would love to be allowed to sit on your lap or in your arms while relaxing at home. We do understand the appeal of a "purse pup" like Richard, but we must ask those looking at his profile to think carefully about if a toy-sized pup is the correct fit for your lifestyle. He is very delicate and can get injured by the smallest of things, such as: children, other animals (even if they aren't meaning to be rough), falling off furniture, getting tripped over, or becoming a snack for a hawk/coyote. We ask that you please do the appropriate research on tiny breeds before applying to adopt! If this listing is still posted, we are still accepting applications. We do not do out-of-state adoptions. We do not hold dogs, please submit your application when you are ready to adopt.

We commonly receive multiple applications for a single dog. Nevertheless, only one applicant will be invited to meet a dog on Saturday at Petsmart in Yorba Linda between noon and 3 pm OR on a mutually agreeable day, time and place during the week.
All adoption fees cover the mandatory and non-negotiable spay/neuter, rabies, microchip, microchip registration, full sets of core vaccinations (rabies and 1 set of distemper/parvo for adults, 4 for puppies) and deworming. Adoption fees vary based on age, breed, size and the costs incurred on the dog's behalf by us i.e. medical, behavioral training, etc.
