My story

Meet Pogo! This sweet munchkin is one of two dogs that transferred to us from Behavior Center at the San Diego Humane Society for his shyness.

It didn't take long for Pogo to go from shy to asking us for attention, and now he's a clinger!

True to his name, Pogo can jump over three feet which is saying a lot for his small size! He loves to prance around the yards with his pals and is almost always asking the staff to pet or hold him. He loves his friends, but he loves his people the most!

If you are looking for a dog that believes you are his sun, his moon, and all his stars, Pogo is ever ready to be loyally by your side!

Regarding COVID-19: Face masks are required for all viewing appointments and home checks.

Why adoption is a great option

Pogo, a El Cajon Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in El Cajon, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog from a breeder in El Cajon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in El Cajon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a El Cajon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in El Cajon paves the way for another one to be saved.
