My story

Cici is the most adorable, cuddly, sweetest little lady. She is approximately 6 months old, great at playing fetch and 95 % housetrained. Cici is shy with new people and situations and is a little scared of loud noises, so she is not a dog who would enjoy city life. She needs a home with a fence backyard. She hasn’t had a lot of socialization outside her foster home. So she needs someone who will continue working on her leash skills, car rides, meeting new people, etc . Cici will thrive with a family who is home a lot and has the time and patience to introduce her to new things. She gets along with other dogs but tends to be more on the confident, dominant side. We think she would do best in a home with either no other dogs or a bigger male dog , no cats and only children over 10. Anyone who adopts Cici will have a huge snuggle buddy. She is just the most loving little lady. Cici is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped.

The adoption fee is $500. We require a fully fenced yard and not an invisible fence.

More about this rescue

Gimme Shelter Animal Rescue is a 501c3 nonprofit organization based on Long Island NY. We rescue dogs and puppies who are at risk of being euthanized in high-kill facilities across the South. Every animal we rescue is quarantined where they get vaccinated and given any medical attention needed to get them healthy. We then transport the animals up to NY where they go into our wonderful foster homes until we find them all pre screened loving forever homes. We will adopt out-of-state on a case by case basis, including, but not limited to, New Jersey, Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Pennsylvania. Our goal is to find the best possible homes for our animals, to ensure a life-long loving commitment. We are dedicated to the well-being of our animals. One by One until there are none!
