My story

** To meet this extremely sweet and energetic girl, via facetime or other video app, please send your application to savesomesouls.com, ONLY IF your yard is fully and adequately fenced.

1 year old black lab Luna is stunning and brilliant.

Luna is very loving, and affectionate. She understands commands and is highly active. She is like a puppy, so someone adopting her must spend time training her and consider her to be a puppy in a one year old lab.

She is friendly with other dogs, and loves to play with them, and she lives with two cats.

She is great with people as well, and loves attention.

However, she will need a family who has the time to provide her what she needs, and keep up with her activity level.

Luna is about 50 lbs, current on vaccination, spayed and microchipped. She is also kept on monthly heartgard and nexgard.

To adopt our puppies, yards, if any, must be fully and adequately fenced. We do not accept invisible fences.

Applications with partial fences, or plans to install fences at a later date, will not be considered at this time.

Why adoption is a great option

Luna, a Houston Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Houston, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
