My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Many of you who follow us on social media remember the Christmas Crew from December 2021. We have two girls- Holly and Mistletoe, and three boys- Rudolph, Scrooge, and Eggnog. These five shih tzus came from sad neglect in an overcrowded home. They were all extremely scared, matted, and emaciated They are now feeling much better and are ready for their furever homes! They are all littermates and 3-4 years and 5-9lbs, very sweet, playful, medium energy, and timid yet cuddly. Everyone is healthy and happy, and are up to date on vaccines, bloodwork, microchipped, spay/neuters, and recent dentals. Scrooge and Eggnog have low-grade heart murmurs that do not require medication, and are otherwise healthy.



Due to their history, they are not potty trained in the slightest and will all require some consistency and patience, in combination with belly bands/diapers until they learn that pottying outside is a good thing! They are also not leash-trained and will need confidence and acclimation to their harnesses. They are well socialized with other dogs and are super friendly with people but definitely need some exposure and experience with all that life has to offer. They also came from a house of 18 cats and will be fine in a feline-friendly home. Due to their timid nature, we are hesitant to place them in a home with children. 



We would like to see them go home in pairs or triplets, or a home with another mellow small dog, and will be giving preference to applicants that want to take two at a time.
