My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mid-October of 2022 marked one year since Turnip "turned up" at our door in a carrier, left over night in the cold for us to find in the morning. She was trembling, scraggly and full of ticks. She took a while to warm up to people who treated her kindly, so we can't imagine what she had been through in her short life.

This pretty tabby is still looking for that special home where she can plant her roots. As long as she has a comfy bed, pets and scratches (not on the backside, please!) and yummy treats, she'll be your best friend and delight you with her ultra-calming purr. Sometimes she still gets a little anxious or over-stimulated when her colony mates are nearby, so Turnip would probably do best as the only cat in the home. She might be fine co-existing with another laid-back cat who wouldn't bother her too much, but she'd likely be happier without. Small children might be a little too loud and energetic for her, as well. Really, Turnip just wants you for herself so her true loving personality can fully bloom. Will you give her that chance at happiness?

We estimate Turnip is about 2-3 years old. She's spayed, up to date on vaccines, flea-treated, microchipped and dewormed. If you want to give Turnip her forever garden, come visit her or apply at https://secondchanceas.org/adoptables. For questions, message us here or call 570-376-3646.
