My story

Meet Tank! 🐾 He's a young lad at just under 4-years old. Tank is currently in foster with a family comprised of 2 adults, a few cats 🐱, 2 dogs & a teenager. Tank is doing great with them all. Their larger dog & Tank have knocked heads a few times. He's doing well with their little, senior dog 🐶. Tank is potty & kennel trained 🙌🏻. He is an Anatolian mix. We are seeking a home familiar with this breed.

Here is information regarding the breed: "The Anatolian Shepherd Dog is highly intelligent, independent, and dominant. They think for themselves-a necessary characteristic for a livestock guardian. They're very protective of their family and flock, and they consider themselves to be constantly on duty." Tank is this to a T! We are seeking a home aware of this need to be a guardian dog & help Tank know exactly what his job is in your home. He is an absolute gem! 😊 His foster family is helping him trim down a bit. He's currently about 130-pounds but should be about 110-pounds. We are seeking a home with no small children, so attention can be spent on Tank & helping him live his best life!

Interested? Please visit dogsbydebin.com/adoption-application/ to complete our quick online adoption application. His adoption fee is $225 & includes: Neuter, microchip, vaccines, heartworm test, deworming & an in-home session with our trainer (local adoptions).

Bonus! Announcing an exciting partnership with #GoodPup, the nation's leading dog training service over live 1-on-1 video chat. Every DBD community member will receive 1 FREE week of training + 20% off for Life, and GoodPup will make a generous donation to help us care for more animals. Additional adoption info

We have a Adoption Application located on our website at www.DogsbyDebin.com under the Applications tab. Each potential adopter is required to fill out. After the Adoption Application is reviewed, and requirements are verified, Dogs by Debin will contact adopter, and if eligible, appointment will be made to come in and meet our dogs. We try and list our adoption fees when posting our dogs. All of our adoption fees include: Age appropriate vaccinations, deworming, microchipping, tested for heart worm (if positive, we treat them), and a free training session with our local trainer. If the adoption is a puppy, the training session will be at 4mths or older.

More about this shelter

We were developed based on the fact that there is a gap in the shelter system. The shelters that are open-intake, although they are doing the best they can, they can only do so much. Those shelters are also very stressful to the dogs & this is where we step in. You can consider our place a half-way home for dogs if you will. We allow the dogs to be dogs again, offering them behavioral modification, land to run on, playgroups & necessary vet care. With this being said, our adoption rate is sometimes slowed due to the fact the dog(s) may not be ready for adoption right away. We set our dogs up for success & match them with the right family. Our final goal is to have the adoptions last the dog's lifetime. Our #1 goal though is to have a dog stay in their current home, should it be safe. We offer counseling & resources to do our best to make this happen. When it's not possible, they may safely surrender the dog to us, provided we have space.
