My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

07-11-05 Lil Tito is an owner surrender.
Tito has been scheduled July 18 for complete vet work-up with Dr. Jane which will include but is not limited to neutering, vaccinations, Rabies, worming, dental if needed and microchipping. Lil Tito is crate trained! Yeah!
Tito will be evaluated now and for 2 weeks following surgery to determine his likes and dislikes.
We are taking applications to find an approved home for this precious little fella when he is ready to move to a fur-ever home.
He rides very quietly in a vehicle, loves to ride behind your neck, loves to be held, slept in the bed under the covers with his pre-teen guardian. He is crate trained.
Note: Because of his tiny size, he will NOT be placed in a home with small children!
Lil Tito would be a lovely pocket pet, bib overall type, as he loves to be held.

07-12-05 It is I, Lil Tito, at the keyboard! Somoeone left the computer on and I just had to tell you about my adventures thus far.
What a night! Big dogs, a cat, yet I dozed off from the long road trip yesterday and slept quietly all night.
This morning I got to take another short road trip. These rescue folks want to make sure I do not get carsick. Heck, you would think they would know that after the trip yesterday. Oh well, life is good here.
We stopped by the Maple St. Cafe & Bake Shop. I got to sit in the flower bed, smell the aroma of gooseberry turnovers, then got a whiff of strawberry/rhubarb turnovers. Folks carried boxes of cinnamon rolls out the door and I thought I would fall out of the flower box trying to steal one! They had huge homemade cookies, too. Fresh baked bread! My little nose just twitched with all of the aromas coming out the door.
Then we went to Rosebud Gift and Fabrics. Wow, what a place! They have so many gifts in there, plus fabric. I hope someone makes me a little jacket to wear out of a bright red piece of cloth. They are pet friendly, and the place is filled with wonderful dog gift items.
Gotta run, someone is coming back! Bye

Update 07-18-05 Lil Tito received the complete vet work today. He is H/W neg., fully vaccinated including Rabies, microchipped. He weighs 3.8#, quite a tiny little man. His age is estimated at about 3 yrs. He had very little tartar on his teeth yet had them polished clean. His teeth are in excellent shape.
Lil Tito is now in foster care with Becky and her family until he gets his return trip to the vet taken care of to remove neuter stitches.
Note 07-22-05 Lil Tito spent the day in Dr. Jane's ofc. He seems to be experiencing some discomfort from the surgery, thus the precaution was taken. They found him to be delightful, not any problem. They have just advised us that due to his tiny size, he must be handled very carefully. He does fine with Jim and the children. We think he associates his neuter pain with Becky since she picked him up following his surgery. We are keeping in close touch with Becky to monitor his progress. His stitches are due to be removed Aug. 3.
Note: 08-14-05 Foster mom Becky will be scheduling and meeting pre-approved adoptive homes for Lil Tito. Since he has been in their care for several weeks, they are best qualified to answer any and all questions honestly about his behavior and suitability for your home.
We are giving preference to stay-at-home or work-from-home guardian(s).
