My story

Say hello to Brie!  This super sweet girl is a beautiful 6-year-old Lab mix who was rescued from an Amish breeder after years of producing litter after litter.  She is now spayed (no more litters for this girl!), up to date on shots, house trained & microchipped. She adores being with her people and loves to keep them in sight at all times and is very tolerant of the little ones.  Brie is an easy girl who is quiet and calm. She's fine with other dogs but thinks cats are toys meant to be chased, so would do best in a cat-free home. She enjoys taking walks and loves getting treats (and will sit pretty for them!).  But be careful of open doors, because Brie sees it as an opportunity to explore!  This smart girl is a wonderful choice for almost any home!

Why adoption is a great option

Brie, a Hockessin Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Hockessin, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Hockessin.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hockessin already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hockessin breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hockessin paves the way for another one to be saved.
