Asher was adopted through HFP 2 years ago but sadly landed in a bad situation where he was found w/ 2 other dogs (Louie (now adopted), and Margo (available for adoption separately or with Asher). Margo was part of the original home Asher was adopted to; at the time she was just a 4/5 month old puppy.
We are not quite sure what happened, but somehow the three all landed at a shelter in Michigan & we vowed to bring all three back to CA. Thanks to the help of amazing volunteers and donors that was possible!
They are now in foster homes while they wait for their meant-to-be forever fams!
More about Asher:
Asher is still a gentle loving old soul like the dog we knew years ago. He is tolerant and patient w/ Louie and Margo’s playstyles.
He loves car rides and snuggling on the bed.
Fine being left alone free roam and fully housetrained/non destructive.
His FAVORITE ACTIVITY is WALKS — he will squeal yelp and dance w delight anytime his leash is brought out. He is very well behaved on walks but does have a high prey drive towards squirrels and critters. But he is so treat motivated that if you bring a pouch of treats on a walk he will give you all his attention!
Ideal activity in next home: adopters who will take him on 2 walks a day - while he isn’t high activity level he just LOVES being out and about.
Does very well w/ dogs given proper intros; has lived with both females and males (even unfixed male) in the past. The videos here are from his original play dates at shelters. In his current foster home he has done well w/ male and female dogs and is neutral passing dogs on leash. We would recommend a home w/ dogs his size or a solo dog.
Asher’s only real limitation is he needs a cat-free home
We have not kid tested Asher but guess he would do well w/ kids 10+
Asher also love puzzles, snuffle matts, lick mats, bully sticks and kongs.
He is super chill and would be perfect for a WFH person too as he is also content to lie around quietly and peacefully while you work.
Bulldog Mix, 75 lbs, $250 adoption donation neutered, blood panel, vaccinated, microchipped, utd on monthly preventatives and ready to be yours!
