My story

Are you looking for a calm and docile female as a companion to your dog?

Hello! My name is Geneva and my foster parents say I am a true pack dog. I am a laid back, introvert girl who LOVES a soft comfy bed, cuddling up next to a dog, or basking in the sun. I am very slow to warm up to you. I am low energy and a bit shy. My ideal family would have another dog for me to follow and be a part of a pack. Companion dogs help me gain the confidence to learn to trust you. Older/respectful kids will be best as I am not amused in their play. If you are local, my foster family will help me integrate into your home. I am a sophisticated country girl looking for a pack to follow. I am currently in a foster home with different sized dogs (including a bossy little one) and older kids. I have learned a lot on how to be a dog in my foster home. I'm not a cuddler, but more of an observer. I will approach for pets when I'm ready and comfortable. I am crate trained, potty trained, will sit and wait for a command to eat. Did I mention that I couldn't be more perfect on a leash? I do great in public just tethered to my foster mom's waist.

you are interested in meeting me, please fill out an app at www.soca-fbc.org/adoptables. My adoption fee is $100 locally in Houston, TX and $350 out of state (includes health cert and travel fee). I am spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, tested heartworm negative and on monthly prevention. Fill out an app at https://toolkit.rescuegroups.org/of/f?c=DCMHRQZT

Additional adoption info

With an approved application, applicants are considered for the pet they have applied for. Our goal is to make the best match for both the adopting family and the pet. Applications are NOT considered on a first come first served basis. Following an initial meet and great, potential adopters must pass a home inspection and sleepovers are strongly encouraged to ensure a perfect fit. Upon approval, the adoptive family is required to pay a fee and sign an adoption agreement. Fees are $200 for a puppy under a year and $150 for adults and include spay/neuter, current vaccines, microchip and many wonderful years of companionship.
