BAYOU is the perfect house guest and is a Drool School graduate!
This 2 year old guy came from a lifetime of neglect, he was dumped or escaped after living his life in a cage that was too small for him. He was emaciated, missing patches of hair, and his back legs were slightly deformed. Thank goodness our ACO friend in Bowling Green Trina Galvan nursed him back to health and showed him what love is
He would do great in a home with no other pets, but has been ok with a social female. He would also do fine in a home that can safely rotate dogs. He has zero separation anxiety, is not destructive, and absolutely loves playing with the hose and his new toys!!! (NO KITTIES, no small kids due to his size).
Must be local to the SWFL area.

Submit Application
Before meeting a pet, all adopters must submit an app for review to see if they qualify and if their lifestyle matches the dog.
Home Check
A volunteer will call potential adopter to ask additional questions and schedule a home check, following a meet and greet with the family.
Approve Application
If home check and meet abs greet go well, we approve the app and will schedule a day that works best for a foster to adopt 14 day trial.
Sign Adoption Contract
After trial if family and the DHRA feels you are a compatible match, then we will complete the process with the final adoption contract.
Pay Fee
Once the adoption contract is signed adopter is required to pay adoption fee immediately via check, cash, or credit/debit card.
