My story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Say hello to this amazing, senior pup, Chance! Chance has quite the story and therefore will need an amazing adopter/forever home that will allow him to relish his golden years, filled with love and affection.

Chance was found just before Christmas, dumped in a canyon, minutes from death. A hero found him and carried him to safety, where Chance defied all odds and not only healed, but thrived. We want nothing more for him than for him to find a home where his person is there almost all of the time and he is allowed to relax and enjoy life. He has a condition in his front paws (that cannot be corrected) that makes it painful for him to walk any long distances so when we say, we want this guy to rest and relax, we really mean it.

Chance is about 10 years old and as best we can tell some sort of hound dog. He will need to maintain his current, healthy weight of around 46 pounds or so in order to not cause extra stress on his front paws. Frequent photos will be required as we ADORE this guy and he owns many hearts within Our Underdog Rescue Squad.

This pup is really as easygoing as they come. He bonds quickly and completely to his caregiver and will want to be where you are. He enjoys his time in the sun and all of the things good pups love. A grassy backyard is needed so he can get around with his sensitive front paws.

Chance is one of the most amazing examples of resilience and the ability of dogs to love in spite of what humans have done...it is hard to let him go but we want him to have his very own doting human. If that's you, please apply here.

Additional adoption info

We do our best to get back to every potential applicant but at times we are only able to get back to the strongest applicant. We are a team of volunteers who work full time jobs and do rescue on the side.

Go meet their pets

Most of our fosters are in the San Bernardino area. Our pups are fostered in private homes so appointments must be set up prior to visiting.

More about this rescue

We are a group of friends with a heart and passion for animals, especially dogs. We are drawn to the ones with the sad stories so that we can rewrite their stories and make them happy. Each of our dogs will be fully vetted (spay/neuter), vaccines and microchip. An in person home check is required.
