My story

Dozer is a handsome 3.5 year old german shepherd mix male with a beautiful soft black and tan coat! Dozer is friendly and loving. He gets along great with other dogs and older respectful children, but would prefer a home without young kids and/or cats. He is crate and potty trained and walks well on a leash.

If you are looking for a buddy who will be your right hand pup, this is the boy for you!

Dozer's adoption fee will contribute and help finance our program of readying additional dogs, puppies and kittens which we prepare, transport and adopt out in the northern United States. Our goal is to get as many homeless animals out of south Texas, where we have a severe pet overpopulation crisis (due mostly to our temperate weather where strays breed year-round and don’t tend to perish due to cold weather.)

He is currently being fostered in Muskego, WI. His adoption fee is $450 firm.

Thank you for supporting our efforts to bring Texas dogs north to loving homes! You can read more about us at https://facebook.com/TxRescueRiders (Texas Rescue Riders). Also feel free to join our Group Facebook Page https://www.facebook.com/groups/TxRescueRidersCommunity (Texas Rescue Riders Community) where members can post directly. We cannot guarantee breed or age. We assign breed and age designations based on veterinary advice and information from the prior owner.

Why adoption is a great option

Dozer the German Shepherd Mix, a Spring Grove German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever for sale in Spring Grove, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Spring Grove.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Spring Grove already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Spring Grove breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Spring Grove paves the way for another one to be saved.
