My story

Meet Brutus the Shark, the playful and fun-loving dog with a unique overbite that earned him his nickname. This adorable boy is always filled with spirit and joy, and he loves to share his contagious energy with everyone he meets.

Brutus has never met a person he didn't instantly love, and he is always eager to make new friends. He is playful and affectionate, and he has some pretty funky teenage moves that will make you smile. He wobbles and waggles all over the play yard, and that just adds to his charm.

Brutus is looking for a family that loves spending time with a happy, fun-loving dog. He is always up for a game of fetch or a good cuddle session, and he loves to be involved in all the family's activities. With a lot of love and a little more training, this boy will be just about perfect.

Despite his playful nature, Brutus is still in need of some training to perfect his manners. But with his eager-to-please personality, he will be a quick learner and will do anything to make his family proud.

If you're looking for a lovable and happy companion to brighten up your days, look no further than Brutus the Shark. Come meet him at the adoption center and give him the forever home he deserves.

More about this rescue

The vision for ACT has been brewing in the minds of the Animal Compassion Team founders for many years. The paths we have walked have prepared us and tested our determination through hard work, buckets of tears, mountains of fecal matter (a favorite topic of discussion amongst animal rescuers), and more than our fair share of discouragement and heartbreak. Having said that, why would we choose to dive in deeper? For the love of the animals we serve. It is just that simple. Dogs, cats, and other wonderful animals are dying in huge numbers daily. We hope to help change that. In August of 2009, we became a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation with California and the Federal Government. It was and continues to be, a huge leap of faith for all of us who already feel overwhelmed by the work we are doing, but we believe this is the time....this is what we have all been preparing for. One life saved makes all the effort and emotional investment worthwhile. This is going to be an exciting journey, and we hope to post MANY happy endings.

Our Mission Statement:

To provide a safe haven for domestic animals, regardless of breed or species, through rescue, rehabilitation, adoption, and sanctuary. To advocate for the humane treatment of animals and promote the human-animal bond. To educate the public about the importance of kindness, compassion, and responsible pet ownership which will emphasize spaying and neutering. To cooperate and work with other animal rescues and shelters towards the goal of becoming a no-kill nation.
