My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

HAMMY HAS BEEN ADOPTED! Hammy is an amiable, charismatic, happy-go-lucky fellow in need of a forever home. This sweet little man was rescued from an animal control facility in Kentucky and has found his way to a loving foster home in Chicago while he waits to meet his forever family. Hammy was found as a stray, so not much is known about his background. He appears to be a mix of several breeds, possibly including Mountain Cur, Beagle, Terrier, and Collie. A truly mixed-up mixed breed! He weighs in at 38 pounds, so a great medium size. He is estimated to be 7-9 years old. Despite being a bit older, he is still quite spry, loves to play, and has a lot of pep in his step. Hammy greets every person he meets with a smile on his face and a wiggle in his butt. This guy loves, loves, loves people, and enjoys being as close to the people as loves as possible. He is a major cuddler, and couch snuggles are the highlight of his day. He is currently being fostered with several other dogs and could be described as dog-selective. He gets along with some dogs, but not others and he doesn't always appreciate them being very close in his personal space. Because of this, we feel Hammy would be happiest as the only dog in the home. Ham is well-behaved, housebroken, crate trained, and trustworthy with free run of the home when alone. If interested in adopting this charming pup, please email palsplace1@hotmail.com for more information or an application. Hammy is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and taking monthly flea and heartworm prevention. He is ready to go home today!

• Hammy's adoption fee is $275. This fee covers the cost of his neuter, vaccines, microchip, and initial de-worming. Hammy is currently in a foster home in Chicago and can be seen by appointment once an application has been received and approved. For more information or an application, please email palsplace1@hotmail.com or visit our website at www.palsplacerescue.org

• Hammy's adoption donation helps cover any necessary medical care to prepare him for adoption. Pal's Place relies solely on donations to care for the pets in our care. Your donation also helps save other animals like Odin from euthanasia.
