Meet Dean

Dean is a very handsome young boy, estimated to be 1.5 – 2 years old, weighing 50 or so lbs.

We really do not know Dean’s breed; he seems to look a bit Hound-like, but he also looks a bit like a Rhodesian Ridgeback. And possibly Black Mouth Cur. Or maybe a Shepherd Mix. Whatever his breed, he’s very handsome, attentive, and trainable. And a wonderful family dog.

As one might expect given his young age, he’s very playful and energetic, and sometimes his body cannot keep up with is energy! So he appears clumsy. But he’s an overall delight and we love him!!

Dean lives with large and small dogs and interacts well with all of them. He’s great with people but would likely be too much dog for a family with small children.

Dean would enjoy the company of another young dog within his new family, and really love a large securely fenced yard. It is important that Dean’s new family be committed to training him so he can evolve into a perfect family member. Obedience training is highly recommended.

We at BAARK are looking for adopters with previous large-dog experience , and the time to commit to a new dog, and a solid vet history for past dogs.

Dean is fully vetted, up-to-date on all vaccinations, heartworm tested and on year-round heartworm prevention, neutered, and microchipped.
