Here's what the humans have to say about me:
5 year old Big Bertha was surrendered to a humane society when her owners no longer could care for her, and then again a second time when her new adopters realized they didn't want to help her stay clean and lose weight in 2021.
She's looking for a home to help her get back to a healthy weight , stay clean and get some major love and laughs along the way!
Big Bertha is very loving and sweet, She never misses a chance to rub up against you and even lets you give her belly rubs once she gets to know you. She can be a little feisty at first especially with loud noises or little ones but overall is a sweet girl and warms up well to others including kids after some time. She's also one of the most silly cats we know - she loves to lay on her back and play with feather toys! she's so goofy and fun!
She can be very vocal and excited when it's time for wet food!! She gets 1 serving of a small can of Pro Plan wet food a day, and 2 servings of Royal Canin Appetite control dry a day to help her on her weight loss journey. She has lost about 2lbs since we met her as of Sept 2022. She uses the litterbox like a champ too!
Since Big Bertha is a bigger lady, she currently needs some help with grooming. We wipe her bottom once a day with a baby wipe to keep her clean and healthy, she has been getting her bottom shaved and its been extremely beneficial for her too in terms of helping her stay clean! (you can even buy a shaver and do this at home, we can help show you!).
Aside from her diet and grooming, all Bertha needs a nice heat vent to sit by, some cuddles and lots of love!
