My story

Shorty is a sweet but shy kitten who came to Famous Fido Rescue after being left out in the cold and snow. He is very happy to have a warm place now to lay his head, but he is so ready to start his new life with a loving family who will keep him safe and keep him inside. He would love to have a little playmate in his future home. If you have a young, social cat already and are looking to grow your family, or if you would consider adopting two kittens from center, please apply.

Famous Fido was founded by Gloria Lissner who has been independently rescuing dogs from the death rows of kill shelters since 1975. She officially opened Famous Fido Rescue & Adoption Alliance in July 2010. All our dogs recieve the necessary vet care and treatment is never refused. Famous Fido has developed a full merchandise line, starting with our all natural dog treats to support our rescue efforts. Our products are available for purchase on our website. The mission of FFRAA is to form an alliance with similar organizations to increase community awareness, public consciences and create a No Kill Nation.
