Meet Athena! Athena is a sweet and sassy female pup. She was born approximately 8/15/21. Unfortunately we aren't sure what breed her and her sister Anya are, but we think they may have Husky in the heritage among likely a few other breeds. They are medium sized dogs and should mature between 40-50 lbs. They came to us from a shelter in Kentucky when their time was up. Athena is dog and human friendly and would probably do fine with cats. Her adoption fee is $329 and includes her spay, microchip, vaccinations and routine labwork. Email us to start the adoption process before this beautiful girl is spoken for!

Why adoption is a great option

ADOPTED!! Athena, a Shorewood Husky/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Husky/Labrador Retriever for sale in Shorewood, or seeking a Husky/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Shorewood.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Shorewood already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Shorewood breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Husky/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Husky/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Shorewood paves the way for another one to be saved.
