Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Rosabelle! She's a 5 yr old, 16 llb. tabby. She was being picked on by the family's new large-breed puppy which caused stress-related medical issues. So she was brought to the vet to be euthanized but the vet refused and called us. Rosabelle is missing a few patches of fur and the undercoat on her back is gone, possibly due to stress-grooming. The skin on her back is in poor condition probably because of that as well. Her foster mom said it was nearly three days before Rosabelle ate a decent meal and came out of hiding with her face in the corner.
After a week, Rosabelle improved so much! Her skin has stopped flaking, and she is eating well. She comes to be pet and brushed and will even roll over for a short belly rub. Her favorite place to lay is on the desk on top of the books and papers her foster mom is trying to work from! She is a wonderful companion and just purrs and purrs from her spot on the desk. She is not needy and is happy to just bathe in the sun near her human.
She will need a quiet home, probably with no dogs, and with a family who will give her time to recover from a frightening situation. She does not like to be picked up but will allow it for transfer purposes. Her foster mom is confident that with a bit of patience and time, Rosabelle will make a loyal, loving companion.
If the cat is under the age of 1 year old or has heath issues, a vet reference is required which means you must own a pet or have owned a pet in your name.
Adoption fee of $110. covers all vetting including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip, FIV/FELV test and any other medical that may be required while in rescue.
