My story

MEET BUD! This cute and compact gargoyle is an affectionate, spunky, and happy-go-lucky shorty. He is the "class clown" of DDR and loves adventures, head scratches, and hanging out with his friends.

We rescued BUD from South LA shelter where they did their best to help him heal from skin issues that were years in the making. While we cannot know the type of life BUD led before coming to us, we hope to make sure he is comfortable going forward. He is now looking for a foster-to-adopt family that will give him that.

BUD is currently being treated for a skin infection, giardia, possible impaired kidney function, and right sided facial nerve paralysis. None of this slow him down one bit. He makes us smile everyday with his fun, goofy, personality - the way he cocks his head at the birds chirping in the yard, his trot as he bounces towards us for treats, and his loving gaze as you tell him what a good boy he is. BUD deserves a warm home to recover and flourish.

BUD is 5 years old, weighs 50 lbs, and has been playful with the dogs we've had him with.
If you are in the Los Angeles area and would like to meet BUD to potentially adopt or foster, fill out our adoption questionnaire at downtowndogrescue.org/adoption-questionnaire.

(Please add the email adopt@downtowndogrescue.org to your contacts so we don't end up in your SPAM folder.)
