Hi! Meet MINA!
She’s about 3 years young and was rescued from the South LA shelter where she was brought in with another female dog. They had a possible owner who never came for them.
Once you get to know Mina, she is silly, lovable, and ATHLETIC! She may have been a varsity high jumper in a past life and can clear a 4 foot fence like a gazelle. She can be sensitive to noise and new environments and has been working with a trainer every week and in group class where she continues to improve.
In a home environment, she has been very sweet and easy, quiet, and enjoys her crate and the couch. While continuing to socialize her is important, we also think she would be perfectly happy hanging out with her people at home where she feels safe and can do zoomies in the yard, then chill out on the couch watching movies.
Mina is housebroken, crate trained, spayed, microchipped and current on shots. She weighs about 50lbs. We recommend a home with high school age kids or above.
If you are in the Los Angeles area and would like to meet MINA please fill out our brief questionnaire at downtowndogrescue.org/adoption-questionnaire and we will get back to you.
