Titan answers to Shakes. He’s got an unknown neuro injury that causes ataxia, a constant muscular tic. He tested negative for distemper and the cause is unknown. In the 7months he’s been my guest, it’s gotten neither better or worse, it is just who he is now. It causes him to be clumsy and awkward, he doesn’t handle long flights of stairs, about 6 is his max.
He can run and jump and dance and play like a normal pup, but his tic causes his legs to be uncoordinated . So he’s the resident klutz. He will go up a flight of stairs to my second floor, but will not be able to safely navigate his way down. He is affectionate and demanding of attention, but can amuse himself with chews and stuffies .
Titan is the rudest dog I have ever fostered, and pokes his nose wherever he chooses, including your butt when you’re cooking at the stove. He enjoys mud, leaves, short walks around the block, and barking at intruders. He doesn’t enjoy baths, an empty dinner bowl, or being scolded for annoying the older dogs. He’s excellent in his crate, quiet in the house, and loves the Mail lady.
He’s sassy and will talk back if you “use that tone” with him. His tic is part of his charm, but it does cause him to sleep in the oddest positions and he does twitch in his sleep, it’s scary at first, but it’s just normal to us now. He would be the perfect Beatbox TikTok Superstar , if you need a video buddy. I’d certainly follow him!

The majority of our dogs are adopted before traveling to Canada. We are a foster based rescue, so a meet & grett can be arranged with some dogs that are already here.

More about this rescue
We are so much more than a dog rescue! We are a community of incredible volunteers with one goal in mind: To help dogs in need find a loving, forever home. We are moms and dads, sisters and daughters, sons and brothers from all walks of life. We have come together with one goal in mind: To help dogs that need it most. Those on death row, those lost, those hungry those broken hearted. We will work and work and work until we find a family for each one of them. We will not stop until each one of our dogs has the one thing they wish for: the safety of a home and the love of a family. We are foster based. This means we do not have a facility, dogs are pulled from shelters and put in to comfortable homes until they are adopted. Each foster volunteer allows us to save one more dog and help him/her find a loving forever home. Since 2015, NDR has saved over 6200 dogs. These dogs are ALIVE today because of we cared and we worked and we cried and we pleaded and we drove and we checked and we advocated and we fought and we begged and, in the end, we made this possible without funding or paid staff. With no shelter or corporate sponsors. With nothing but the will of our amazing volunteers working together to help save the lives of the dogs we can help. We keep our heads down, we focus on what we need to do to help our dogs and we go to work. We have made a difference in the lives of those dogs that are fortunate enough to be ours.
