Amber came to us after living outside as a street dog and was very fearful. A family was trying to befriend/rescue her, but before she could be rescued, she was attacked by a large dog. She luckily survived the attack. She will need a patient home and a fenced yard and would do well in a house with a small dog. After being at the rescue for a bit, Amber has grown much fonder of people and is very playful once she gets to know and trust you. She has met large dogs before but is still very timid around them and would prefer a home without one. Amber is an absolute sweetheart and enjoys playing with her friends when she’s outside; she would make a great addition to your family. Once she finds her forever family, she will have loads of kisses and cuddles in store, but now she is waiting for the perfect human family to come along.
AMBER IS A MIX AND WOULD NOT BE GOOD FOR SOMEONE THAT IS LOOKING FOR A NON-SHEDDING DOG OR THAT HAS DOG ALLERGIES.
Due to COVID-19 we are a little more limited on volunteers and the availability (and safety) of home visits. Local applications are given first priority and some out of town areas will not be able to be processed.
At this time, we will only be able to process applications that have an excellent current vet history. If you haven’t had a pet or verifiable vet history we will not be able to process your application.

- Placed on heartworm preventive
- Basic Bloodwork
- Urinalysis

- Intestinal Parasite Exam and medication
- Vaccinations
- Placed on Flea preventive
ADOPTION DONATION: $300
This adoption donation helps to cover the vet expenses for this dog including heartworm preventive which is dispensed at the initial vet visit and then goes with the dog at adoption. All vet records will be provided to adopter.
