Sam is the MAN….and he is a hearty, healthy, happy, handful of a Sharpei/Pit mix. A fun handful that is sweet and a diamond in the rough. He is a good boy that was originally brought from California to Tennessee by a family who then decided that they didn’t want him anymore and gave him away to a family who was not prepared to train him and “curb his enthusiasm”. They had a 5 year old son who got knocked down by Sam who did not have a clue on his size and body movements with a small child. He then was chained outside and when the family could not come up with another family to take him they decided they would euthanize him. Critter Cavalry Rescue had a rescue friend step in and take him before that could be done. He is not a life that needs to be snuffed out so heartlessly. We are looking for a person or family with a fenced yard, the knowledge to work with training a strong dog that just wants love and to please his person. He is pretty much housebroken, he is good with dogs who don’t try to alpha him and he plays and plays and plays.
