My story

Meet Nick/CP

Nick’s baby years weren’t the best. He was bullied by other dogs, didn’t get much food, very little human affection.  He was rescued, worked with, learned to trust, play, have his own food bowl, house trained. He absolutely loves affection!  His following year he was blessed to have more love and affection, had his very own fenced in yard! He didn’t understand the context of this freedom but once he learned he had the freedom to run, hop, and play freely oh what a beautiful sight this was to see this beautiful boy glow!  He gets along great with other dogs ( who are non aggressive) he’s never had any issues with our cats.  He is very shy and nervous at first but he truly loves attention.  (Craves Attention)
Best home for him would be No small children, Older teens would be best, fenced yard, active family, to be fed separately when feeding, a home with non aggressive dogs or no dogs, a home who will love him, give him lots of attention, cuddles on the couch, bed, and continue to show him it’s ok, his life is good now.  He’s never been aggressive ( he’s always been the frightened shy one). He’s a fabulous dog who needs a very loving, patient & calm home. Please apply for Nick at RussellRescuetn.com/adopt

More about this rescue

Russell Rescue is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) dog rescue organization. It was started in 2008 by Mary Ruth Rogers of Columbia, TN. Our mission is to save and re-home unloved, abandoned and abused dogs, especially the Jack Russell terrier. Most of our dogs come from high kill shelters in Tennessee, and other nearby states.
