Shadow is currently being fostered in HOUSTON, TEXAS. She is available for out-of-state adoption as well to the perfect family. Her adoption fee is $350, which cover her transportation to her new family, and she is completely vetted.**
Hi there, my name is Shadow and I am estimated to be around 1 year old! By my looks we are guessing that I am a Border Collie Mix. I was found running the streets and as you can imagine, that is not a safe place for me and a wonderful family scooped me up and took me to safety until I could find a new family to always keep me safe! I was found with a pal that could possibly be my mom but my fosters have no way to be sure of that.
I absolutely love everyone, including kids and greet them with wiggles and so much enthusiasm. You see, us dogs are very forgiving that way, even when our lives in the past have been rough, we see the good in the humans that want to help us and give us love and affection!
I am crate trained, house trained and leash trained (although I can get excited and pull a little) I LOVE other dogs and playing and running with them. If you have an active dog in your family that would be so great for me but proper introductions will be necessary. If you take me on long walks or go to the park, hiking, running etc that will be a good backup plan, but I would love an active family.
I also love pig ears, my great sleeping bag and dog toys!
I may get a little pouty when play time has to end or when the humans stop cuddling me. I mean I’ve never experienced all of this before so of course I like it and hope it doesn’t end! I may get a little impatient waiting on my breakfast but It’s pretty exciting to have a yummy meal to start each day.
I have been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and am ready to go! I did test positive for heartworms and my first month of slow kill treatment has been done and the medications to continue that treatment will come with me.
