My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi my name is Myers and I am a 6 year old, 106 lb, Bloodhound. I am a big love bug. I like other dogs my size and I have not been cat tested. I'm a follower not a leader so when you put me out to potty I might need you to come outside with me. I'm potty trained so please remember to show me which door in my new forever home is the potty door so I can let you know when I have to go out. I'm nervous/anxious around new things that I'm not familiar with. I don't like loud noises like fire works. My previous family gave me to the shelter because they didn't have much time for me and they wanted me to have more room. A fenced yard is a must for me so I can run and play. I'm a bloodhound that likes to follow my nose so when you take me for walks I always need to be on a leash..never off leash or I could wander a way and get lost. I walk really well on a leash an I prefer to wear a harness when we go for walks. I have big floppy hound ears so I get bad ear infections so I need to be on medications for them. Changing my diet did not work so medications prescribed by a vet is necessary for my ears to stay healthy. I'm head shy because of past ear problems not being cared for properly. I like my kennel so I have my own place to nap and hang out in if I want to so I definitely need a kennel in my forever home. I like a blanket on the top of my kennel too and a big fluffy blanket or bed inside for me to nap on to be comfy. I love toys so much I don't like to share them so giving me toys in my kennel is a must if there are other dogs in the house. I can only live with older respectful children in my forever home, 13 or older. I'm a big and clumsy pup that might knock small children over by accident plus me loving all toys and not being able to tell the difference between kids toys and met own is a concern.

If you are interested in adopting please fill out an application at operationsaveashelterdog.org. Adoption fee is $350 unless you are a veteran, senior, or first responder then adoption fee is $300.

I am being fostered in Wilkes Barre/Scranton area of Pennsylvania. If out of the area possible transport can be arranged for the perfect home.
