Levi is a beautiful Maine Coon mix 4-month-old boy. He is sweet and loving. He was given as a Christmas gift and was going to be dumped at the shelter. Thankfully, we stepped in. It turns out this little boy has an umbilical hernia which will be repaired during his neuter surgery. Outside of that, he is a healthy and happy little boy. He is up-to-date on his vaccines and FIV/FELV negative. He is looking for his forever home. Please see below for our adoption protocol.
Save A Kitty, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) kitty rescue. Our adoption process is as follows: We require a completed application, a home check, and an adoption fee (with the amount depending upon the kitty). We will also discount the adoption fee, if an individual adopts 2 kitties at the same time. All of our kitties have been quarantined for a minimum of 15 days, had their shots, been tested for FIV/FELV, given parasite treatment, and will be spayed/neutered before being placed into their forever home.

Our adoption contract is a legal document and includes no release of adopted cats to a third party. We have an adoption fee that ranges from $125 to $200 depending upon the kitty, which helps us with some of the medical costs to ready our kittens for adoption (including testing for FIV/FELV, spaying/neutering, shots, deworming, and flea treatment). If 2 cats are being adopted, we will sometimes reduce the fee. Even if we do a home check, that does not constitute an adoption.

We rescue from the streets, or bail from city shelters.We are active in trap/neuter/return and are trying to do our best to help reduce the number of unwanted births. We have a network of foster volunteers who care for our babies in a home environment. Our kitties are loved and cared for and will remain in our care until they find their forever homes, and if that is with us. so be it. We do what we do because we feel that all life is equal, a kitten with no home deserves to be loved and nurtured no less than any other being.
