Meet Beau!
10 year old Lab mix, approx 60 lbs, in foster home Davis CA.
Beau was rescued from Solano County shelter where he landed as a stray; we do not have info on his life prior. Although he is 10 years old, Beau has the energy of a much younger dog.
Like any good lab, Beau LOVES fetch!
Housetrained/great house manners
Good w/ cats (currently lives w/ a cat in foster)
Has done great meeting dogs! Very appropriate and friendly. We have not seen him in a home setting w/ another dog.
Adult only home would be best - he is very friendly meeting people but seems to prefer women to men as he seems more comfortable w/ them. Beau has landed a bite with strangers (handling sensitivity) but is not reactive to people just needs his space and slow management into handling. He does best if tossed treats or ignored. Due to the bite he will need a home w/ no kids. Owners willing to put him away when people come over may be best though he has also had success with new people coming in the home as well. Someone who will not require him to interact with new people and who will advocate for him “please do not pet” required.
