Meet Kodiak “Kodi”!

Kodi was adopted by a family at the local shelter but they realized they weren’t quite ready for a bigger, energetic girl and we were glad to help. Kodi wraps up her heartworm treatment 2/28! With the right family she could be adopted prior but they would need to be familiar with the heartworm protocol. We think Kodi is a tad younger than originally suspected - guessing around 2 years old.

Kodi loves to play fetch! She’s great on a leash but needs some work on pulling as most huskies do! This girl is very affectionate and warms up quickly to her people. Loves to be pet and get attention. She’s wonderful with children. Kodi was not a fan of the medium sized dog living at her previous home but had no issues with the smaller dog in the house (all females) so she can be somewhat selective. No cats!

Kodi would love a fenced yard so she can play after her heartworm treatment. She could stand to lose a few pounds so she will be grateful for the exercise. She’s crate trained (loves her crate, hops right in when not playing) and has not had any recent accidents in the house! She’ll let you know when she needs to go out. She’s patiently waiting for her forever family.
