My story

Greetings from goodboy school! Our resident mush Red Gerard is ready to graduate from his board & train with our training partners upstate. Next life goal: finding his forever family! This extremely handsome 2 year old pittie mix has worked super hard to refine his skills and manners over the past month and comes with an extremely solid communication and training foundation. He LOVES his Place, soaring to it through the air as if to channel his namesake, and will do anything, ANYTHING, for hot dogs and cheese. Red enjoys the lazy kind of life, content to lounge on his Place all day, watching the world go by. This boy has no limit on love, to the extent that sometimes he loves a little too fiercely! Because of that, Red requires a confident handler who is strong and not afraid to be the boss in the relationship. He needs to know that everything's cool, and looks to his handler for that direction. Red is as sporty as his Olympian namesake and loves to play but can sometimes forget his 60lb frame, especially when he gets his irresistibly adorable Zoomies! He's made incredible progress with the leadership of his trainer and is ready to put his best paws forward in his second chance at life. Approved adopters interested in Red Gerard can email adopt@heartsandbonesrescue.com for more info. If you're not approved yet, apply today at heartsandbonesrescue.com!

More about this rescue

We are a small rescue, started by a group of people who have been rescuing dogs together for several years. It's been our dream to have our own rescue, and focus on rescuing dogs from overcrowded, high-kill shelters.
