My story

Magnum was found as a stray and no one came to look for him. He was brought to Paw Pals and had all his vaccinations done and is neutered and ready to find his new home. Magnum is not quite a year old and loves to run and play like a puppy but he is not overly active and settles down nicely after his exercise. Magnum is a great guy that would love to be welcomed into a home where he will be safe and secure and loved. To meet Magnum, please contact Hill County Paw Pals by phone 254-580-0679, 254-580-5261, or e-mail hcpawpals@yahoo.com. An online adoption application is available at hcpawpals.org. An adoption fee of $165.00 will help to offset vet expenses
Our adoption application can be found online at:

Why adoption is a great option

Magnum, a Hillsboro Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Hillsboro, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Hillsboro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hillsboro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hillsboro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hillsboro paves the way for another one to be saved.
