Hans needs a hero!!

Sweet special needs Hans has been through so much! He’s some sort of beautiful terrier, and about 40 pounds. He was about to be euthanized at the shelter because he had been hit by a car and his back was broken. Sadly, his owner didn't show up to save him, but we got him in the nick of time. He couldn't walk or hold his bowels, and desperately needed major surgery. We were able to raise the funds to have his back surgery, and he did fantastic. He can now run and play with his favorite toys. Hans is crate trained, and is great with other dogs. He knows sit, out, wait, crate and come. He still has incontinence issues, but don’t let that stop you from meeting this special miracle boy. He is a sweet and happy soul that just wants a home of his own, and to follow you everywhere. Look at those eyes, how can you resist? Come meet Hans, he’s beaten all the odds against him. He can’t wait to meet you!!

Once your application is submitted and approved for the dog you are interested in, someone will call you to start the adoption process

ADOPTION FEE*: Fees vary due to costs put into them, but START at $400 for adults and $500 for puppies.

The adoption fee is for the adoption of the pet. We make sure that our animals are or will be spayed/neutered, receive the proper vaccines and are microchipped and we cover the cost for that if it's not already done before you adopt.

More about this rescue

A Wish for Animals is an all volunteer run organization trying to help as many homeless animals as possible. We work tirelessly to help these animals become adoptable and work hard to find the them the right match so that you can enjoy your pet for the rest of its' life.

During Covid we have been inundated with applications, so please be patient with us as we all work full time as well and are doing our best to care for our animals and find the right homes for them.
