My story

Remember a hip hop dance called The Dougie? 🕺 Well, this muscular, friendly guy shows some of that same energy. He's also great with kids and very smart, having acted as a "trained cashier" (see photo) at Pet Supplies. To meet him is to love him!

Dougie is one of my favorite dogs at the League for Animal Welfare 🤫. I hang out with him in my office, which is usually spent keeping him busy, but I did get one nap out of him😊.
While Dougie has been with us, we've learned he's good with kids, VERY smart, he's great at offsite events, he'sa bit dog selective, he can hang at a 5k👍and he has the cutest mouf🤩.
It's a running joke around the shelter about how bad he plays me🤣🤦???. I struggle to get him out of his kennel without accidentally setting him free to raise a ruckus in the runs🙄. He puts on the brakes when it's time to go back to his kennel. I always have to call in reinforcements who are bearing hot dogs😑.
The last time he was in my office, after his usual busy time, he came over for back scritches. He just laid his head in my lap & let out a big sigh🥰.
After that moment, we had our usual struggle to get him back to his kennel.
We laugh at my ineptitude, but Dougie not wanting to go back to his kennel isn't funny. He's tired. He shouldn't be living in a kennel😪. He should be in a home 🏡.
Please come meet this smart, active, cuddly boy who loves back scritches😊.
