My story

I'm a laid-back 60-pound pit mix in search of a wonderful home. As a mellow and easygoing fellow, I'm open to any type of family! I've had the pleasure of attending events at Pet Smart, where I've enjoyed receiving countless pets. I adore children and am content to lie down while they shower me with affection. Additionally, I get along great with other dogs. Despite my relaxed nature, I do enjoy going for walks or frolicking in the yard. The caring staff at Pet Savers have worked diligently with me, and I must say, I'm quite well-trained. Above all, all I yearn for is a loving family that will shower me with affection. Due to the current situation we are no longer allowing casual visits to the shelter. You will need to submit an application with the name of the dog or cat you are interested in adopting via email. Please visit our website www.petsaversshreveport.org to download an adoption application. Applications can be emailed back to us at petsavers@petsaversshreveport.org

Adoption fees for dogs range from $100-$250. All pets come fully vetted (spayed/neutered, vaccinated, heartworm tested (for dogs).

The shelter is open seven days a week from 12pm to 4pm
Casual visits are no longer allowed. You will need to submit an application via email with the name of the dog or cat you are interested in adopting.

Monthly Events:
Petsmart Adoption Days have been suspended until further notice.
Adoption Day at Petsmart on 7061 Youree Dr., Shreveport
Every 3rd & 4th Saturday of the month from 11am to 3pm

Pet Savers is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, founded in 2005 and located in Northwest Louisiana. Our mission is to rescue, protect, and place abandoned or unwanted pets and provide funds for neutering, spaying, and other veterinary care.

Our precious rescues are cared for 7 days a week, 365 days a year by a special group of dedicated staff and volunteers.
