Meet Mellie!
Mellie is very sweet in nature and sensitive. She is an attention lover and likes to be at the center of everything. You will often find her belly up for rubs. She knows basic commands and will work hard to please but can be stubborn about it-you will ask her more than once to sit. She is a jumper by nature and very excited to greet you when you come home with lots of barks. . She is very high energy and would do well with a lot of interactive daily exercise. She isn't a dog that will just run and play because there is a big backyard-you have to run with her as fetch is short lived. She is smart and LOVES to learn.
She loves cats-she will chase them (outdoor ferals) but she wants to play with them. She has lived with 3 full time cats and has played mama to kittens. She does do her best as an only dog child though as she is very selective on her friends. Teenagers or older for kids please.

The mission of One Love Animal Rescue, Inc. is to help abandoned, neglected, abused and unwanted pets by partnering with shelters, rescue groups and the community to facilitate adoption of these animals into permanent and loving homes.

Our goal is to save one life at a time by promoting local animal shelter adoptions and raising awareness in our community about responsible pet ownership. We strive to highlight the importance of spaying or neutering pets which will aid in the reduction of overpopulation. We believe that appropriate and positive reinforcement training and socialization of these shelter animals will lead to well-adjusted family pets, thereby decreasing the number of abandoned animals in shelters. Our dream is that one day all the shelters will be empty because every pet will have a home.

One Love Animal Rescue, Inc. is a volunteer based organization located in Savannah, Georgia. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit and all donations directly benefit the animals entrusted in our care.
