This boy appeared out of nowhere this past May 2009, very afraid and would 'dash' out of the enclosure in seconds, terrified. Dash, whom we at first thought to be a female due to give birth any day because it's belly had expanded so quickly from actual FOOD, was a big surprise when we trapped him and took him to the vet before the big event. Alas to our joy, NO KITTENS, just a famished male.
Dash appeared to have had little human contact, therefore was kept in a very large cage for a few months to get him used to our touch. His fur and entire body filled out normally and just look at this beauty now!. Such kitties that we find just in time never cease to amaze us how they improve in a matter of months. We knew that there was hope for him because he would play like a little kitten in his cage.
We are elated to introduce him to you as a now perfectly adoptable, gentle and loving kitty. He adores being petted! and chirps constantly when he sees you come in and often rolls on his side for more.
Dash has 1 eye that is slightly infected and most likely became chronic due to lack of care for so long and obviously because of his malnutrition. We have recently begun topical treatment but he is otherwise in excellent health. This eye condition is not contagious.
We believe he will make a lovely friend for you and could be with another kitty in a quieter home. He is also quite obedient and friendly with other cats.
